Nurragingy Reserve

GPS Waypoint            Watch Video

Nurragingy Reserve is located just west of Blacktown, NSW. It is a large parklands area with a range of features including the Chang Lai Yuan Chinese Gardens, Several Wedding Gardens, The Colebee Center, Wawai Ngurra Inclusive Play Space and much more. Named after the Nurragingy who was one of 2 Aboriginal (Dharug) men issued title to the land, the other being Colebee whom the main center and café are named after. This was the first land title to ever be issued to Aboriginal men by Governor Macquarie. This is a place I spent many days in my younger year’s bush walking, enjoying family picnics, riding my push bike and more. This is one of those places you really need to spend a day and visit to really enjoy it.

I acknowledge my ancestors, The Dharug people past, present and future.

I also acknowledge the Awabakal and Darkinjung people, past, Present & Future, from the lands in which I reside and regularly visit.

I also pay my respects to and acknowledge all Aboriginal people past, present and future from the lands in which I may roam.
